Help us to map student volunteering activity at Keele

A volunteer is someone who gives up their time for free, to help other people, the community or the environment. If you have ever helped out at a youth or sports club, or taken part in a sponsored walk, then you’ve been a volunteer! So that we can accurately record volunteering activity at Keele, we need your help!

We have around 400 current Keele students registered on our database but believe that many more are volunteering their time to help people and organisations in the community!

VE @ Keele extends the definition of volunteering to include many opportunities and activities within the community of Keele University. These activities should not be a requirement of an academic course or module and be unpaid. For example if you are actively involved with a KUSU student society or other university activity outside of your academic timetable, you may be able to get involved with VE @ Keele.

Please take a few minutes of your time to register with VE @ Keele and provide details of where you are currently volunteering.

By registering with VE @ Keele you could work towards our VE Awards enabling you to reflect on your skills development during your volunteering. VE Awards also look great on your CV!

If you don’t want to complete an Award, we can offer our Positive Contribution to the Community Certificate for your volunteering activity instead.
