What will you do today?
Ever thought about volunteering?
A volunteer is someone who gives up their time for free, to help other people, the community or the environment. If you have ever helped out at a youth or sports club, or taken part in a sponsored walk, then you’ve been a volunteer!
VE @ Keele extends the definition of volunteering to include many opportunities and activities within the community of Keele University, where these are not a requirement of an academic course or module, are unpaid and considered to be voluntary in nature. So if you are actively involved with a KUSU student society or other university activity outside of your academic timetable, you may be able to get involved with VE @ Keele.
The feel good factor
Volunteering is one of the most rewarding things you can do and it’s really easy to get involved. What’s more it benefits the community, gives you a real sense of personal satisfaction, it’s a great way to develop essential employability skills and looks great on your CV!
VE @ Keele aims to provide quality volunteer opportunities for students and staff, enhancing the whole student experience and connecting Keele to the local community. Working in partnership with a wide range of organisations, whether you want to volunteer as part of a one-off event, or commit more regularly to an opportunity, means there is something for everyone at VE @ Keele.
