Union General Meetings (UGM)
UGM’s happen 4 times a year. They are the ultimate sovereign body of the Students’ Union and are where students direct the running and policy of KUSU. Your attendance at UGMs is vital so you can make sure you have your say in how the Union should work, and how the Student's Union should fight for the rights of students. Below is a guide to writing motions if you would like to put one forward at the Union General Meetings or Student Councils. All papers for the UGM will appear on the Website before the meeting
The UGM welcomes people of all political persuasions, and debate is frequently lively and entertaining. Most UGM motions focus on questions of Union policy but many feature or focus on wider political debates. As you can imagine, the UGM can become quite rowdy and cheering and heckling are not uncommon, which is always fun to watch!
