We aim to campaign against racist and fascist ideas and the organisations that spread those beliefs, like the BNP and the EDL. This means marching against them when they march and campaigning against them at election time. This organisation will be affiliated to no political party. The local anti-fascist campaign has already had success in helping to stop fascist parties the BNP and the England First Party getting any seats in the 2011 Stoke council elections. This does not mean the fight is over as the EDL are marching in Birmingham on 29th October. They also still have a strong political force and could march in Hanley as they did in 2008 .
