Positions Available

There are elections for each of the following positions to serve for the 2012/13 academic year;

Executive Committee

Non-sabbatical Officers: Unpaid part time officers
  • Open Portfolio Officers

Student Trustees

The trustees have the responsibly to ensure that the students’ union is fit for purpose. KUSU should be a students’ union that has the plans, resources, people and opportunities to change the student experience. Being a trustee is about making decisions that put the whole of KUSU first, based on expert advice and careful judgement – not personal interest.

There are three Student Trustee positions to be elected.

Constitutional Affairs Committee

The Constitutional Affairs Committee (CAC) are the guardians of the constitution. They are the the steering group for the union's democratic meetings, and also are the interpreters of the constitution.

The positions on CAC are;

  • Chair of Student Council
  • Consitiutional Affairs Secretary
  • General Secretary

Student Council

Student Council members represent a wide range of Keele students and each has their own area of representative responsibility. The student council hold the elected officers to account and help direct how the union works, whilst also scrutinising proposed policy or constitutional amendments. They might run campaigns with the help of the elected officers and other students. Student councillors are split into zones and each zone is supported by a Vice President. Mature Student's Representative
International Student's Representative

Education Zone:
Health Faculty Representative
Humms and Social Sciences Representative
Natural Sciences Representative
Postgraduate Taught Representative
Postgraduate Research Representative
Distance Learner/Part-time Student's Representative

Community Zone:
On-Campus Representative
Off-Campus Representative
Hospital Campus Representative
RAG (Raise and Give) Representative

Services Zone:
Entertainments Representative
