Benefits

There is a lot of help and information about the benefit system in the UK available. Please click on the links below to view our suggested sources. Alternatively contact us in the IAU for more information.

Most full time students cannot claim welfare benefits, though there are a few exeptions, including; students with (particular) disabilities; with children; or who have been suffering from illness for a long time.  There are more groups who can claim; if you think that you may be eligible, or you would like to discuss your finances, please contact us.  (Don't forget that all students, including international students, can claim for help with health costs - collect a form (HC1) from the IAU or your GP).
