KUSU & BBC Children in Need!
Friday 14th November 2008.
Help to raise millions of pounds for BBC Children in Need.

BBC Children in Need aims to positively change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK by providing support in the form of grants to organizations working with children who may have experienced mental, physical or sensory disabilities; behavioural or psychological disorders; are living in poverty or situations of deprivation; or suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.

With a vision of creating a society where each and every child and young person is supported to realize their potential, all money raised will help support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

Last year BBC Children in Need raised over £37 million pounds. Let us help them to raise even more this year!

How, can YOU help?

Come into lectures and seminars on Friday in fancy dress and make a donation.

You can dress up or down, wear a tie, posh frock, or a fancy dress outfit – the choice is yours!!

Here at KUSU, two collection boxes will be held at Reception & in the Management office.

Please make your donations at one of these places.

Even if you don’t dress up – or down – you can still make a donation because every penny really does count and you could really help to make a difference to children and young people in the UK and have fun at the same time!

Also, dont forget...

As part of ActiVE’s Swap & Shop event on Friday 14th November in the Student Union Ballroom, 9-4pm, there will be a tombola and table top stall to raise money for BBC Children in Need. However, we need good quality items that we can include in the tombola and the table top sale. Can you help? If you have any small items suitable for a tombola or for the table top stall that you would be willing to donate, please bring them to the VE @ Keele office by 4pm this Thursday 13th November.

Please note we cannot accept any electrical goods!

Any items left over from the tombola or the table top stall will be donated to Save the Children charity shop in Newcastle.
