KUSU has an Environmental Committee that meets twice a year to discuss environmental issues within the students union building and how they can be dealt with, and also the promotion of green issues across campus. The committee currently consists of:

If you're thinking of buying a new TV, look for one that carries the
Energy Efficiency Recommended logo. For flat-screen models, these
will usually be LCDs, which tend to use less power than plasma
screens. Be aware, however, that large screen TVs carrying the logo
could still consume a fair amount of energy.
Set top boxes for digital TV reception can be power hungry. When
you do need to buy a new TV, look out for one with IDTV (integrated
digital television). These save energy by only using one, usually
more efficient, power circuit.
