The Best Bar None awards ia an National Union of Studenst Services Ltd. (NUSSL) initiative, originally set up by the Manchester Police Force in responce to calls to try and establish best practice within the licenced trade.

Principally, award recognition rests upon the four pillars of licensing law: Prevention of crime and disorder, Public Safety, Prevention of public nuisance and finally Protection of children from harm.

Keele University Students' Union was given accreditation in 2005 and 2006 as part of the scheme.

In 2006/7 and 2007/8  Keele University Students' Union awarded accreditation and also gained the title of Regional Winner. This places Keele in the top 5 Student Union Venues in the country based on its ever increasing strides in ensuring that it operates professionally and with a high level of social responsibility towards its patrons.

2010/2011 saw Keele University Students' Union being awarded Gold as finalists. The top 7 Unions out of 82 recieved the Gold award!

Room Bookings

KUSU is a multi-purpose building, with 6 bars, 2 catering outlets and 3 meeting rooms. Not only do we hire out our venues, but we can also provide:

Buffets: choose from one of our set menus or design your own.

Bars: with 6 bars in the building we are sure we can find something to suit you.

Entertainment: our Ents. Department is professionally equipped and can provide quality entertainment to your specifications.

Equipment: we have a variety of training/meeting tools that should help your sessions run smoothly.
