‘How To Guides’ are small, simple guides on anything you may want to achieve at university. These guides have launched with Society and Planning an Event Guides, but more and more will be uploaded throughout the year. If you have an idea on a guide you’d like, just email Student Activities.

VE @ Keele has secured some funding for students to set up their own charity project within the local community. This can be anything that will benefit the local community from sports coaching to gardening projects.

Each month VE @ Keele is running ‘Make a Difference Day’. This is a one-off volunteering event that anyone can get involved with or even contribute ideas and run one!

Welcome to the Activities section of your S.U website. 2011/12 has seen a range of changes at Keele designed to give enhanced employability to graduates and improve the student experience. More detail can be found throughout this section on these changes and the different aspects of Keele you can get involved in, such as volunteering with ‘VE @ Keele’, taking part in societies, participating in sport and representing other students.
You can also check out the different ways that these activities can be recorded and how they can benefit you with the Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR), VE Awards and KUSU Awards. You can also see how to articulate the skills you gain from such activities, so look out for the How Guide ‘Articulating Your Co-curriculum Skills’.
To find out how past students feel they have benefited from participating in various activities throughout their life, click here.
If you have any questions about anything, feel free to pop by the Student Activities office on the top floor of the Students Union or send an email to:
